In 2016 There were clowns in the streets Mad men on the loose In a bid for Penn. Avenue The people on their phones Sad reacted to the videos But meanwhile downtown Sally clocked-in as a clown ~ She worked birthday parties Weddings on boats She juggled her bowling pins In her red nose Venues and ballrooms Where DJs played disco She juggled her bowling pins In her red nose ~ One day a pack of teens Mistook her for a creep She was still in her work-wear And feeling debonair But the kids threw some rocks Some spit balls and socks As they ran right on past She felt like an outcast ~ She worked birthday parties Weddings on boats She juggled her bowling pins In her red nose Venues and ballrooms Where DJs played disco She juggled her bowling pins In her red nose

Bozoh 02:39
The lake monster Of Mendota died Along with a generation Living a lie It was cold and wet During an October sunset When Bozoh jumped out To scare some kids and yet ~ They did not flinch Not a single inch They had too much to do Their faces furrowed in business The job description of A monster is to scare That’s why Bozoh quit Cuz nobody cared ~ So Bozoh swam Away into the brightness Towards the windmills Like a moth to a porch light He could still be alive Upstream in some gorge But down here We don’t tell his story anymore ~ The job description of A monster is to scare That’s why Bozoh quit Cuz nobody cared The job description of A monster is to scare That’s why Bozoh quit Cuz nobody cared ~ What do I fear the most? A world on fire, oh no If Bozoh returns It’d be to help with that I know

Night of the Living Dead Was on TV On election night We were watching the votes roll in Blue was up And we felt quite mollified Cuz we had been out there our ubrellas Inside out Soaked to the bone Ingratiatingly grinning Through the sun and the rain "Hey, is anyone home?" ~ Did we win Or was it all just sport? I feel like a zombie Knocking at your door And next year I'll be out for more and more But I'll feel like a zombie Knocking at your door ~ We had some tequila shots At the bar With the Ghost of Paths Not Taken And half of us buried our Faces in our phones To soon be awakened By the film on the TV screen A mob people Who looked quite undead We finished a round of water Left a tip Were we us or them? ~ Did we win Or was it all just sport? I feel like a zombie Knocking at your door And next year I'll be out for more and more But I'll feel like a zombie Knocking at your door

The Formula 03:13
There are four ingredients in my recipe Each with a step please follow them precisely You will fetch toad slime A juggling ball from a mine A vampire's communion cup A warlock's charm of luck That's the formula That's the formula Find a cauldron at your local witch's shop Start a fire at 1000 degrees hot Then you will build a Velvet woven clock With hands made out of rocks Wait for three or so tick tocks That's the formula That's the formula ~ Then drop two ingredients at a time Into a substrate of your saliva and some wine Then write a letter to a benevolent old ghost With one wish at the most And a lock of hair enclosed That's the formula That's the formula Then drop your letter and say the magic words "Abracadabra" or whatever you prefer Your wish will be guaranteed At dusk on halloween To be granted and all done No "if's or "and"s or "but"s That's the formula That's the formula

Bobby 01:47
Bobby heard them call him names He wished they would just say them to his Face his fears and face his shame That's why he needed a hiding place So he took the tunnels down into The abyss underground it's true The telephoto pics online Didn't make him friends that's fine ~ Cuz when he went down to the steam pipes All he got was a shitty nickname A little bit of solitude Quite nice if it'd be without the fame ~ Bobby heard them call him names He wished they would just say them to his face

Mound St. 03:05
I used to live on Mound St. No wonder where it got that name When I took out my laundry Was I walking on someone's grave ~ I didn't hear any voices Didn't see any bones I was just passing through like a nameless train But I can't help feeling like a ghost ~ Was following me round Maybe I overstayed My welcome in Teejop I don't really speak the language ~ And there's that old song by Mr. Woody About whose land is whose I used to like it around campfires But these days I don't have a clue ~ I used to live on mound St. I still wonder about its name Our anticedents Were they paying rent and playing the game? ~ I didn't see any voices Didn't hear any bones I was just passing through like a nameless train And I can't help feeling like a ghost No I can't help feeling like a ghost

Helen 01:46
Wrote a paper on some memories In the stacks of memory's library Heard a noise just before last call Stole a book felt quite proud and tall But as I quickly retreated To the night I was soon greeted With the noise from 43N The very same I heard it back again ~ It was Helen telling Helen telling Helen telling me To return the book ~ And I saw a flash of purple I was running round in circles Backwards to return What I'd stolen, O I did learn That when I messed with the collections I'd receive phantom corrections ~ It was Helen telling Helen telling Helen telling me To return the book ~ If you want to steal please feel free Just do it across the street
